We ended up having 300 guests at our wedding and a lot of the them came up for the entire weekend and took advantage of all the activities that this resort has! The property is so gorgeous in the fall that I had my ceremony out doors and pictures on the property! I had wanted to have my wedding there but the service was so poor no one would respond to my calls or several in-person attempts at contact. Best decision my husband and I made was choosing the Grand Geneva as our wedding venue. They all said their rooms were just gorgeous and there wasn't one bad view. The service the night of the wedding was incredible. Our guests are still ranting and raving about the food. Couples can choose to add spa services or trolley transportation to upgrade their wedding experience. We had a few handicap guests including the father of the groom and everything was always taken care of to accommodate those guests. My guests still talk about the wedding and how unique it was with the Ski Chalet and the trolley. We had our wedding on 6/7/2019 and it was absolutely incredible. Grand Geneva's execution of Christmas decorations never disappoints. We had to argue to accomplish anything. All in all, I would recommend GG 100 times over to any future bride and I can not thank them enough for making our day so grand! We arrived on Friday around 12pm and most of our rooms were ready, such a nice surprise. She listened to what we wanted as well as our concerns, and she always had solutions and options to offer to us. This room steps off onto a patio, allowing guests to enjoy stunning views of the resort. We both highly recommend the Grand Geneva Resort to anyone who wants a smooth, stress free (as stress free as a wedding can be), absolutely beautiful, memorable wedding - we could not have asked for a more perfect day and only regret that we cannot re-live it again and again!!! As a bride I completely trusted her. The bartenders were efficient and knowledgable. Jessica collected all of our decorations and beautifully did everything and more for us. On the day of the wedding, Justin ensured that everything was perfect and the way we wanted it. We appreciated Grand Geneva's willingness to accommodate special requests in food & transportation. We are so grateful to her and all of her hard work and efforts. We enjoyed the gym for a yoga class. THE RECEPTION: The ceremony was gorgeous (except someone was allowed to walk behind the ceremony site in photographers' view) and the reception was so much fun, but the food was different than what we had taste-tested (specifically the pasta and potato dish new chef?) l. The staff , bartenders and waiters especially Juan Espinoza where attentive and polite. From beginning to end, Kristi and her staff went above and beyond, and we are so grateful to them and the Grand Geneva for hosting our wedding. We were drawn to the unique location and beautiful property. From simple recommendations on florists to last minute hotel room additions and countless emails in-between over items small and large, Kate was a wonderful resource and advocate for us every step of the way. We ended up having to move our wedding to to where our reception was (the Pavillion)..it was done flawlessly and it was just as beautiful! At the reception, he brought my husband and I a plate of appetizers and got us our drinks while we were trying to figure out some things with the DJ. Everything went perfectly! The rolling hills of Wisconsins landscape create a beautiful background for any event. It was absolutely perfect! Not only did Kristi help make the planning perfect, but she was also so supportive day of and helped transport me and my big dress to the perfect first look destination and ensured we had water and stayed cool. We made the call around 11am if we were going to have it inside or out. Closer to our wedding date, our communications with our coordinator, improved greatly and things went very well. This year will Be our 5 year anniversary and we are so excited to be going back to the Grand Geneva to celebrate! Our guests loved the food and kept telling us how beautiful everything was. I can't say enough about the Hilton Orrington. nd they were so accommodating and helpful during the call. Jamie Curler did a fantastic job in making sure the day went perfectly! We were able to have our tasting as soon as covid restrictions were lifted, and they wine and dined us so we were able to check out the wedding menu in person. Kristi Johnson who was our wedding coordinator along with Jamie Curler went above and beyond to help us organize a perfect wedding. They also attempted to double charge my mother for her 3 nights. The rooms were spotless and so nice and an at home feel than a typical hotel. With a June 2020 wedding, the odds were seemingly against us in every way. We are so pleased with the Grand Geneva and cannot say enough great things. Every request was met with "of course!" Hand sanitizing stations were plentiful, & all of the staff wore masks and gloves. There was also a lounge/bar where our guests were able to continue the celebration after our reception ended. My husband and I got married at The Grand Geneva Resort on November 11, 2016. Rescheduling a wedding in a pandemic and then having a wedding during a pandemic should have been a huge headache but the Grand went above and beyond to help all the ways they can! cocktail bar, free valet parking The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing and my day was perfect and I'll be grateful to Grand Geneva forever for being such an important facet of my wedding. Our guests had the choice of either chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and filling or vanilla cake with bavarian cream filling and chocolate ganache frosting. Kate Hartz was our assigned wedding planner and she was amazing :) She took care of every detail on the day of the wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly. He was so incredibly communicative before the wedding and answered the many questions that we had. Our day was magical. She anticipated our questions and is a great planner. Many of our guests claim it was the greatest wedding they had ever been a part of; Valerie and Michael would have to agree! I didn't have to worry about anything. They were offered two free breakfasts as compensation. This place is top of the line, and we were very happy we chose The Grand Resort and Spa over any Chicago venue for our wedding. We were set to have the ceremony outside on the Greenview and inside the Chalet as a back-up. . I dont think I couldve asked for a more professional and accommodating event venue to work with for my wedding.

It was not executed with high standards, which made us fearful of the actual event day, so we had to look elsewhere and hire our own stylist team. We know you have been in touch with our Director of Events. We could not ask for anything more. ven though it was a rehearsal dinner. We received no guarantees and a lot of push-back. With family flying in from all over it was great to have a location that offered so many activities. everyone down to the trolley drivers. The ambiance was important to us and it was EXACTLY what we had hoped for. We originally had Rhonda as our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely incredible, very timely in response. We worked with the pastry chef, Samantha, on a special wedding cake design, which she shared our enthusiasm for, and it turned out so great that we left it in the room for guests to look at and take pictures! Everything turned out GREAT!!! Everyone from valet to check in to server had excellent customer service skills.

Rhonda made everything beyond easy and helped keep me sane and calm. this was the place for us. I could not have asked for a better wedding! Wendy at Grand Geneva did my hair on the day of my wedding, and it turned out great and photographed very well! Underst We had both our ceremony and our reception at Grand Geneva in May! Overall, the food and service were top notch. The cuisine was outstanding and their attention to food allergy requirements and their approval of special requests (such as our cake of cheese), were all handled respectfully and gracefully. To top it off, on the weekend of the wedding they didn't have bride and groom room available!! Kate Hartz was our event coordinator and she was amazing! Tak We had the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, wedding reception, and morning after brunch at the Grand Geneva. They screwed up our entire hotel block, told us a month before they didn't have enough rooms despite our contracted number. We will be back next year for our anniversary! Kristi, the events manager, became our new coordinator and she was also incredible! The rooms were roomy and comfortable. 2 guests were put in the building on the opposite end from everyone else (even though they were one of the first to reserve their rooms) and another guest was not given the suites they reserved and had to squeeze a bunch of people into a fairly small room for the first night - it was mostly sorted out for the second night. The Grand Geneva was accommodating and professional. Once we postponed our wedding in Summer of 2020, we were able to switch our dates to August 2021 without any extra deposit or cancellation fees- they were so understanding throughout the entire process. e of everything on the day of my wedding. Getting married is stressful, but its supposed to be beautiful and happy. My husband and I were incredibly happy! This made us and our guests feel safe! I would have my wedding there again and again. She was truly a pleasure to work with. When the pandemic hit in March, the Grand Geneva had to furlough some of its employees, including event staff when their events dwindled. I will never forget our wedding-- for all the best reasons! THE REHEARSAL: The rehearsal went well, except we were not allowed to rehearse in the space that we reserved because a dinner was going on in that space. event that we will remember with fondness for years to come. When we tried to drop of decorations the week of the wedding, the lady working at the Chalet was so rude, rolled her eyes and said they didn't have any room. We had our rehearsal dinner on Thanksgiving and it was amazing. It was absolutely stunning, our guests had nothing but great things to say. This is such an amazing venue. We loved that we were able to fully make use of the beautiful Grand Geneva property and have our different events in different rooms/areas of the resort. The food was awesome, we are still getting compliments. My bridesmaids also got their hair done as well as the flower girl and my personal attendant. From working with Manuel (who I highly recommend to any bride) to the accommodations to the amazing restaurants and more this place has it all!! The reception space looked beautiful - just as I had hoped. Grand Genevas staff even strung twinkle lights & hung escort cards on an arch that we provided. She coordinated the rental of our ceiling drapes and Chiavari chairs, & she was the person who coordinated all requests that we had concerning food and beverages. spa Having everything on site alleviated the cost of shuttling everyone to and fro as well as eliminated a lot of event day stress. The Grand Geneva was the perfect setting for our summer wedding. We can't wait to visit soon. The views are gorgeous and so many little hidden spots for photos! Grand Geneva made it possible for us to celebrate our wedding day surrounded by family & friends in a beautiful, safe manner. We loved our coordination, Jamie, she was super sweet and helpful.
