The Aquarius refused to accept a prepaid and confirmed reservation I booked via Priceline. The Sheetrock in the shower was hanging down from the ceiling. The staff is no longer friendly as they never greet you or call you by name throughout the hotel and restaurant, bars and casino floor. sometimes hard to get what you ask for, certain tower, or adjoining rooms when making reservations. The hotel is nicely located so there is plenty to do, within walking distance in almost any direction. this being my first time there i was impressed. We were guests at the hotel today and even paid for good friends of ours to stay there and have their wedding there in Dec 2017! It isn't fancy but is cheap and clean. I main hotel for the tourney is the Edgewater next door but this hotel is nicer. There is an indoor parking area but I feel better in full public view. Maintenance came to fix. Fishing, boating and all the great things that Vegas offers but at a price that makes you feel as if you're not being Robbed. When we arrived at the hotel I went in to check in. Wifi is spotty and intermittent throughout the hotel. The Aquarius has great promotions which enable us to get to Laughlin every couple of months. The rooms are a good size and the only thing that needs a little help is the location of the toilet paper roll in the bathroom. When we checked into our room, all was fine, looked clean. I had intended to use the pool but on our first full day it was closed due to the wind. Not a disaster, but dated and just doesn't seem clean. We were on the 7th floor with the riverview. So, I can recommend that this is a good hotel for business. The staff needs to attend an comprehensive "CUSTOMER SERVICE & HOSPITALITY" training session.

I was surprised when two servers on two different days did not know how to charge out my bill to my room (as the pool is for hotel guests only.) I was able to use the pool the next day but I spoke with other guests that had been there for days and the pool was closed. No sweets were available, odd for 2 mo. We had view of the river and strip. Only 2 people were staffing the front desk while hundreds waited in line. Don't get there later than 8:30 though. The buffet was also terrible. Fun casino, great restaurant options in all price ranges. We were there on a Wed and Thurs night so things were pretty slow.so you could move around and find open slot games.
