The food is quite overpriced in my opinion. Do not order the Caprese. It was a big chunk of cheese with a droplet of pesto and 3 very sad raw marinated shrimp (I was a bit shocked and asked the waitress if something happened with our order, but, I guess what we got was normal). The pizza was pretty tasty though. You can rent nice beach chairs and spend the day at the Coral Beach Club (about 50 euros for two people). For lunch, we tried the Miramare restaurant twice, and it was pretty good. I really liked the Greek salad in particular. We tried the Piano bar for snacks and coffee once, and it was good. However, the long corridors, staircases and lifts are rather soulless.
We tried the Panorama restaurant at the upper Cable Car Station. The food was actually really good: we had a mojito, the Greek salad, and the lasagna. The views were simply incredible, and the waiters were very friendly. And, this place takes credit cards, including American Express (most places dont in Croatia). I highly recommend coming here, the view is something you have to experience! You should make a reservation, especially during peak season, and ask for one of the tables on the edge to truly experience the view! The smoke-free property provides a location convenient to many places guests will likely want to visit. Great location - show map, Host provided taxi service and kindly showed us around.

Walk around the Old town: if you go during the summer, I would recommend going very early or later at night because it can be very hot and humid. If you can find out when the cruise ships come in and avoid going to the Old Town during that time, you will certainly be happier. The people in Dubrovnik are not thrilled about all the huge ships coming in, as it gets crazy crowded and hard to walk around.

We looked at staying in Dubrovnik before, so we had some idea of what we wanted: a nice hotel on the beach with good reviews. Seeing that we needed a hotel for the next day, and this was in August, our options were very limited, and the prices were very high. We found one last room at the Valamar Collection Dubrovnik President. There are many different Valamar hotels, but this is the only one on the beach. I believe that there is a golf cart that can take you from the other hotels to the President so that you can use the beach, but you will have to pay a fee to use the beach chairs. Guests can request an iron/ironing board if needed.

Dubrovnik President has its own beach, broken down into two sections, the regular section and some kind of a club-level section. The first day we were there, the hotel was so busy, there were barely any chairs available, so we ended up going to the club-level section. There were a lot of people, and the chairs are pretty close together, but it was, surprisingly, still quiet. I think one of the reasons the beach is so busy is that the guests from the other Valamar hotels can make use of this beach as well. The beach is made of small rocks, which is the case everywhere on the Adriatic, I believe, so bring your comfy sandals to walk! The water was really nice, we went swimming every day.

Get up on the walls of the Old Town and see the town from above. One of the nights, we went to the Tramuntana Restaurant at the More Hotel, which was about a 15 minute walk from our hotel. The hotel sits right above the water and has a great view. One of the traditional Croatian dishes is sea bream, which is served in parchment paper. We had it at Tramuntana and although it was pretty good, we much preferred the seabass there, but maybe it is just personal preference. We did not care much for the local oysters (very fishy). Overall, this restaurant was pretty good, but I dont know that I would come back.
The Valamar President provided a private car to and from the airport, which was great. To get to the Old Town, most people take the bus, which takes about 10 minutes. It stops right outside the hotel and drops you off right outside the Old Town. It was so easy! You can buy tickets at your hotel. Set only a 10-minute walk from the nearest beach, it offers newly built accommodations with free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned accommodations.

Room was nice, although we paid for seaview. There was a problem loading the reviews. The Wellness Bar does drinks by the outdoor pool during daylight hours. There are hundreds of tour and excursion options available in Dubrovnik, so it is really a matter of what you enjoy!
Dubrovnik President has a gym: it was pretty small, but it had some free weights and a TRX, which is all I really need, so it was perfect.
