The frying pan lid was my main attraction to this line of products and anything smaller than the 900 would be tricky to cook, stir, etc in. I really like having a frying pan bannock, pancakes, muffins, stir fry, sausage, fried potatoes, fried fish, good food. My friend was using the Snow Peak Mini Solo Cookset. I wish the pot handles were longer, but, overall well worth buying. I used over the campfire to heat water to conserve fuel on stove, and it warped from heat. The pan works great for a lid and it cleaned up easily. I LOVE this cookset! I ended up getting some garden velcro thats used to secure plants to stakes. Luckily REI is an AWESOME company, and they were able to let me exchange it, and I went with Snow Peak again, hoping that it was a simple manufacturing defect. snow peak SCS-008 TREK 900 ALUMINUM Cookware NEW from Japan. And it fits my 250 g fuel canister, lighter, stove, and small towel. great set, has what you NEED.i do the same thing as a previous reviewer, and freeze a filet mignon for the first day and cook that on the pan, works great for that (other than fuel consumption)just enough water boiling capacity for 2 peoples food, perfect for exactly 2 ramen packetsits the simple things in life, im sure it could be improved on with handles and such but im a happy camper with this one!
+25 I keep a Snow Peak Trek 700 in this with a stove and fuel in the 700. Planning a sectional AT backpacking trip and I am beginning my lightweight gear purchases,totaly pleased. This feature requires an active Backpacking Light Membership. I figured you must have really liked that design to overlook the weight. I had no choice but to retrieve it since my pocket r "cooking unit" was in it and I had no other way of preparing my food.
