The two smell completely different. Then I moved on to other fragrances and this one just stood in the cupboarduntil today. I didn't buy Versence until it was discontinued, and now I need to hurry up and buy a back-up before it goes the way of the Dodo. This opened beautifully with sharp, bright, tangy, refreshing, mood-lifting citrus, and I thought, just for an instant, that I might have finally found "the one" (at least as regards a wearable spring/summer fragrance, that is).

This came on super citrus-y and at first, I recoiled. Dries down to a soft soapy green scent lacking soul.

Versense is a clean fresh fragrance that is good for springtime. It's like fresh limeade on my skin. Absolutely adore this. For the price, you cannot find anything better, the citrus smells good and not cheap or synthetic. Two I had, the citrus was too mucb and didnt work with my skin, as citrus dominant scents tend to do with me. So I asked, "Who smells so good?!" I'm giving it a full wear test today so I'll update you on projection & longevity. It also is fairly long lasting and just perfect for spring and summer. I recently got a fantastic deal on a tester at Jomashop! And although it is a nice scent, and I don't mind having another Versace in my collection, I can't help but feel regret for buying it, as I can't really wear it, and I don't appreciate the scent all as much as I would have liked to. :). I hope Im able to purchase this forever. Its a bit sharp the first few minutes, but that softens quickly. However, this is a very nice, fresh, summer scent, that performs decent for a citrus. Reclining back momentarily to inhale an infinitely peaceful euphoria. I really love how it smells out of the bottle. This is a pleasant, inoffensive and light freshie. If you are looking for a casual, non offensive fragrance you won't want to pass this gem up. You certainly smelled it in a dozen other perfumes before. It doesn't last long. If you like citrusy fragrances you would love this one. The citrus comes on a bit loud at first but the the florals tone it down. Literally nothing bad to say about this juice. Lasts moderately long on me but if I overspray, I can smell it most of the day. It has the fresh shower gel feel without going cheap and musky. Its beautiful!!! The fig, bergamot, pear, and florals are so balanced to such a bright effect, and the woody, musky undertones round it out to this incredibly fresh but sensual experience that I keep coming back to. Long lasting. To me, this could easily pass for a unisex scent but you have to make a mental decision to be comfortable wearing it, no doubts. Similar to Peace, Love, and Daises by Bath and Body Works (was a limited time summer release years back). Smells fresh and very nice but I would not buy again. Versense by Versace is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for women. Airy, cheerful, confident, fresh. Unfortunately, it is more of a skin scent on me and only lasts a few hours. The opening is pure citrus with bergamot being the highlight. Easily my favourite. This fragrance dries down to a creamy, sweet pear, or maybe it is fig - Im not quite sure here, and lasts all day on my skin. That said this scent is mine all mine and love the citrus blast it gives, the performance is there as well for being a citrus freshie. But not too sweet. I have been wearing this almost every day since I picked it up for a steal at TJMAXX. I think I wouldn't even recognize it if someone passed by wearing this perfume. Weak lasting power, over-citrusy at the beginning. I definitively feel the bergamot note, its a scent that reminds me of an Italian garden with citrus, fig and pear trees, in the first opening. I LOVE this fragrance!! My heart immediately fell and I figured my blind buy was a bust. And that is what it stays like throughtout the day. As a Greek I really wanted to love thisbut I didn't. It starts the same, very citrusy with lush bergamot and juicy mandarin orange. After a while, lily and cardamom and musk join this party dancing in a corner watching citruses still rocking the centre of a dance floor. It wears like a body splash, unfortunately. I loved it immediately because of the citrus and the touch of floral. I went to a local parfume shop and talked with a lady working there. It's totally spring/summer scent. By fluke I was walking by the perfume isle and randomly picked up this bottle. Whatever the case it blends seamlessly with the fig, which is a note I love but often find difficult to detect. Versace Versense is so refreshing and clean, not sweet, and Im surprised by just how well it works every time.

It straight up seduces me. I. Pleasure will rise with sparks of citruses mixed with fruity aromas. I'll be trying it again when the weather warms up in spring and hoping for the bergamot, fig, and sandalwood notes that others are getting. To my nose, they are very different. It amazes me that they only have three notes in common: top- bergamot; middle- lily; base- sandalwood.you really dont need both. This is everything I wanted Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche to be: clean citrus herbal woody wonderfulness with some spice (cardamom). by no means is it an unpleasant smell; it's very well blended and uplifting! I just didn't think I needed another green floral woody musk, but Versence sets itself apart by tempering the strident green opening with a subtle sweetness which can sometimes be lacking in similar fragrances.

It is coloured in light green, it is luxurious and decorated with traditional Versace symbols. First of all we are talking about completely unisex type of fragrance tha opens up with incredibly fresh and spicy punch of bergamot and citruses and a hint of pear although not very sweet one. I sprayed some on my clothes and hair before going to work 6hrs outdoors in the pouring rain.. and I just came home to my roommates complimenting my new perfume. Definitely a classic in my opinion. Sort of a milder version of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. Fresh and zesty, although I wouldn't classify the zestyness here particularly citrusy. After awhile, the citrus sadly mellows down and the sandalwood/cedar becomes more present and it becomes a very tame fragrance. I can feel fig and pear a lot. Now sprinkle in the other notes, and stir it up until its like a shake. Older version was distinctively woody, borderline unisex. My favorite gym scent all year round. Decent sillage not extremely long lasting but more than 4 hours. I love Versense, I want to smell like this all day everyday. I know this is an unhealthy approach to perfumery, or life in general. Definitely a safe scent that isn't offensive or too strong, and lasts on my skin for hours on end. Citrusy in a warm way. On me this leans towards a masculine type fragrance side more than I would like. A full elemental circle completes, dominant only in radiance. Unfortunately, that citrus goodness fades and I start to get a drydown that is reminiscent of many mainstream synthetic fragrances: a sharp, bitey, and somewhat bitter mess. Like many of the reviewers below, I also find this quite different from the zingy Chance Eau Fraiche. Cedar, clean musk, sandalwood, frankincense. However, after 3 hours of wear, it becomes heavier on the pear note and smells like Dior J'adore or Bond No 9 Astor Place! This is amazing, a really sparkeling and creamy green that projects and lasts. The new eau de toilette is accompanied with a 200 ml perfumed bath, 200 ml perfumed body milk and 75 ml deo spray. To further carry the feel of the virginal Mediterranean, and so befittingly contained within the heart of the composition, tender Jasmine notes begin their enchantment.

Excellent buy for citrus lovers. Sprayed about 3 sprays on my neck this morning, went to work, had a full day & came home and even showered and STILL smell (faint) whiffs here and there. I like to assiciate this scent with working women - smells energetic, bold and empowering without being sweet. Also Versense doesn't last as long. Not a lot of sweetness though. Ya know, I like this. I did not have the same experience! It's quite pleasant and inoffensive, as many have noted, but I guess it suffered from my expectations. I started driving and noticed the fragrance morph into what I can only call stale Irish Spring soap. The florals are light but sill detectible which is great because it's not an in your face floral like her older sister Versace Signature. I can't detect the individual floral notes but combined with the cardamom and woody notes in the base they work so well. It is light and pleasant, I think it is a safe blind buy. Yes, I could fault them for a great many things, but accidentally introducing me to Versace's Versense, is not one of them. It reads that this is a frag for women but IMO it could honestly lean either way! This is best fit for summers. + lilac flower (variety that has bigger flowers) + trace of violet?. Then this has arrived and I am SO happy. I wouldn`t get it for myself, as I have other summer perfumes a lot more distinctive than this one, but if I didn`t I might get a small bottle just to have something for the warmer days. ITS NOT JUST FOR WOMEN!!! The sillage is super strong and it stays as a sharp, green, almost spicy bergamot. I don't usually love Versace's fragrance DNA, but this DNA with these notes works. This has been reformulated. But, something bitter like this is dreamy on me. Veresense opens with a strong blast of citrus, the milky sweetness of a fig, and the sweet fruitiness of a fresh (not synthetic smelling) pear. Simply love Versense, and I do not love many fresh citrus perfumes. Love the scent. I am getting a lot of indistinctive citrus and synthetic woods in this one. It has been (pre-Covid) my go-to travel perfume for any and all trips to countries surrounding the Mediterranean. No mustiness here. I just smell fresh and clean, but I have withstand the soapy mess phase. Be it work, outing or dating, this works best for me. The citruses are strong in this one and they're very sharp and sour. Even though Versace has it listed there is 0 woodiness. The scent was just lovely at this point, softly green, delicately musky, and with a sandalwood base. My nose just loves this scent. It's been her signature scent for years and years. When it dries down, it gets a little bit warmer. I had this before Chance Eau Fraiche and I find them to be indeed similar, almost identical, except this one has white flowers which is the reason I bought it in the first place. And they don't smell similar. This scent smells so creamy and fresh on my skin. It is for women, but trust me it smells very unisex. They will take us to a heart ruled by sea lily, rare flower with rare aromas, strengthened with jasmine petals and bitter-spicy accords of cardamom in an elegant way. Pass. Very nice! I like some of Versace's fragrances, mostly the ones for men. New one is nice, but I prefer older version. the drydown is very old-smelling to my nose, like the kind of lipstick and perfume an older lady would wear. I grow weary of fragrances that that try to be too clever, as there is something to be said for elegant simplicity. it is very loud on my skin, overpowering the other notes to the point where it's all i can smell. I think its quite unisex . They fade almost immediately to a transparent, white floral skin scent that you can easily wear in the spring and summer. Versace Man Eau Fraiche is almost identical to Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue for Her, which I also take from my girl's collection from time to time.
