Epoxy or maybe even polyurethane glue would be a better choice. You might have to check with Titebond, but if the glue looks good and pours nicely, its probably still good. Im all ears, cheers! Back when they came out with Titebond Type II, it was rated for use in structural work. Now I dont know about anyone else but to me that is NOT waterproof. But it would be nice to have actual numbers to know exactly how much strength is being sacrificed and if its enough to worry about.

Titebond III Ultimate: Titebond III Ultimate contains crushed walnut shells to give the finished product a nice, natural Light Brown color when dry. It holds up to the abise a bit better. Consensus of testing seems to be thats a safety factor of 4 to 8 (we all know just how homogenous any given piece of wood is.) 
Versatile performance! Was going to use Titebond 3 but after everything I have learned here, I am leaning toward using a slow cure epoxy like West with 207 hardener. I think it would be worth differentiating Gorilla Wood glue vs the epoxy. Just built my little girl a swingset with Titebond III and love the consistency and worktime.
