I thought the netted cloth looked really useless too but it is just great on baking messes flour, pancake batter etc. I love my netted cloth. In the post, I added an update and theres a title I found a cheaper option with a link. Have you tried it yet, Kate?

IN A NUTSHELL: Norwex sells a lot of great products (see my 5 Star Norwex Reviews), but the Norwex netted dish cloth aint one of them. Otherwise that old cloth just sits unused as Im still having trouble finding the love for that thing. clean in dishwasher drape over the cups so it doesnt fall through. You've got stuck-on goo on your stainless steel cooktop, which is going to be hard to remove without scratching the surface or using a sopping wet cloth. But it doesnt change my opinion of this cloth. Overall, Id say the amazon cheapies are pretty much equal in performance to the Norwex netted dish cloth. I bet you werent expecting so much support for that little mesh cloth!! Sure, you can use the netted dish cloth in your sink to clean your dishes (and I will admit that its actually pretty good for cleaning up gooey baked cheesy messes) but God forbid you splash a bit of water on to the counter and try to wipe it up with this cloth. I finally found a use for my netted dish cloth though my muffin trays. If you have big things (like cookie sheets) that dont fit entirely in the sink, the cloth will annoy you to no end as you try to clean the part thats sticking out of the water. The "off" amount and percentage simply signifies the calculated difference between the seller-provided price for the item elsewhere and the seller's price on eBay.

You said yourself its great for cleaning up all kinds of dish messes, dries quickly, rinses easily, and does exactly what Norwex promised it would do. I cut the cleaning cloth into four pieces and then used a candle lighter flame to melt the little edges by very quickly running the flame down the edge. It takes about three seconds per side and they are 1/4 the size and dry very quickly.

Its a good size that fits comfortably in my hand. Getting your home clean doesnt have to mean spreading around harsh chemicals. I have heard from others that theirs bleached ok though.
