OXO will have to change their slogan to OXO GOOD GRIEF! The SoftWorks kitchen tools are usually made with comfortable, sturdy, and heat-proof nylon. I am planning to return almost 25 containers I ordered. Im very disappointed in what I thought was a quality company. Also the final hard plastic piece over the silicone cover is also friction fit So will also cause more rubbing thus wear and tear. airtight My parents are elderly so I have purchased many for them. I loved them. I went to Target and thankfully they still had some of the old stock and I greedily snapped up what I could find. This peeler can only be hand washed.. The middle pop portion sticks, feels cheap and the container doesnt seal.

Thank you all so much for pointing out that the seals are poor in the redesign. The Good Grips dish brush has ridges on the handle, which may be more comfortable for some people to use. We know that users love the satisfaction of emptying a 5 lbs bag of rice into the 2.8 Qt Big Square Short or pouring a whole bag of pretzels into the 6.0 Qt Big Square. Oxos famous non-slip, comfort grip, and sharp stainless-steel blades work great for cutting pizzas. So I found my way to this thread which indicated I will have further problems with these canisters. So disappointing. Im not confident the ingredients will stay fresh in these containers. But, in actuality, tens of tiny parts are all working together to make that button work. This lack of continuity bugs the HELL out of me.

It gives the containers a more modern look, but dont worry, all POP Containers still stack and fit modularly with each other. After seeing the many videos online, I thought it wouldnt be a problem. Its an excellent value for a very good quality set of containers. Truly dissappointed. I have a broken lid for the large 5.5 qt square container- purchased from Amazon. I ran into my store because I needed another container. What a poor decision. Using a small screw driver I was able to pop off the bottom of the lid to investigate. Very disappointed In these specific models, the lid is not air tight, and constantly falls off. The Good Grips seal is gray, and the SoftWorks seals are mostly white, with some gray. Some of my lids stopped fitting, and I wasnt even aware, until today, that a style change had taken place. Please bring back the older version. Heres how to do it: Remove the white base plate on the lid.

It all feels like a marketing scam to persuade consumers to replace everything with the new style. At OXO, we test, iterate and look to make improvements on all of our products. However, there are so many products in the SoftWorks line, it is probably not an issue finding what you need. I attempted to ask for a replacement from OXO, they directed me to go through Amazon. Just bought 3 candied set of 3 4.4 qt set of OXO containers. Taking it off requires a lot of force (stretching at the edge, etc.) Why would u change what is NOT broken. I then stopped by the Container Store and Bed Bath Beyond both stores only have your new cheaply made version. Hate to throw away a perfectly good container because of a broken lid, but lids arent among the few replacement parts available on the Oxo website. I have bought dozens of these to keep my mixed drink additives in- limes, lemons, orange slices, pineapple, etc. Perhaps you should try a New Coke/Cole Classic switcheroo here ;^), I did not realize there is a design change and ordered bunch of them. Turns out I dont really need the scoops since the lid falls off and dumps flour out on its own. While its extremely helpful to do these types of testing, the most valuable is consumer testing. These new lids are a nightmare to try to grip. The ones Costco are selling are the old versions. Hi Chris Have you tried emailing our consumer services? It is NOT airtight and does not seal a thing you lied about your product. You may find the price slightly higher at specialty stores such as Williams Sonoma, but there is usually not a significant difference.
The main advantage of Oxo Good Grips products is their handles. Im surprised that this wasnt addressed after they failed testing. Im really disappointed. Also, the edge of the scoop makes it easier to get the rice from the container and she can lay the scoop on the counter top if shes setting up her mise en place. It is also lightweight, dishwasher safe, and has a large hole at the end for hang-up storage. When I got home, I opened my grocery bag and saw this thin, wobbly pop top that has a thin lid. Its been almost a year since you did this, how about going back to your original design that we all loved? While the lids fit tightly on many of the containers they also slide right out of many of them when the button is pushed down and locked. One of the best things was the way these nested up against one another without wasted space. First timer on them not a good impression to leave. Earlier ones just have a silicone rim that can be easily removed for cleaning without damage. I was surprised to see the new design. Cant return because the box got thrown out. I am so disappointed because I have found all past OXO products extremely reliable. Dont lose more customers like me. The compliant mechanism is shaped like a web and each container has a unique web design because of the different sizes. The lids can be taken off just by pulling slightly. I didnt know OXO had changed their design until I started washing all the tops and found they dont open with an easy twist like the other ones did. Listen to your people!

They are quite wobbly when you mix the sets and stack them. Oxo SoftWorks is a line of innovative household products, primarily kitchen tools, and organizational products for the home. They look like the were redesigned to be cheap not to be better. To test the seal, we created a pressurized container and used a flow meter to measure if air escapes. I ended up not buying any. The main difference is the product selection for SoftWorks is smaller than Good Grips.
