looks good!! It has been moisture tested. I've also been told we cannot refinish our floors and will need a transition strip in every doorway. Yes, we are using an engineered hardwood approved for below grade installation. I also took photos from the basement view. It is my understanding that if we float the floor we will need some sort of transition piece in the middle of our open space - around 37' of continuous flooring. I've seen them use a "piping bag" to control it better. I plan to glue down engineered wood (Brazilian cherry) on slab, and not sure what kind of adhesive to use.

The floors actually flattened back down after drying but we had them removed anyway. Everything here is 1-2 mm wear layer. We will be gluing a 1/2" engineered hardwood on a concrete slab in a mostly above grade basement. They do have Bostik Best though.
We do have 6 mil poly installed under slab and overlapped and taped on the seams (we also installed a passive radon system).

If you apply 2 coats it protects upto 18lbs in the slab which is very good protection. This superior elasticity allows the urethane adhesive to move with the wood as it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and temperature over the life of the floor.

Faster, cheaper, less chance of your installer mucking up, much less glue used, easily warrantied type of install. bostik Titebond, Robert 1407, Mapei or Bostik for Engineered wood? Yes, the slab has been moisture tested about 2 months ago (it was fine - about 6 months into the curing process) and will be tested again right before install.
Many hardwood flooring manufacturers do NOT like to have their floors GLUED DOWN in a "below grade situation". Straight from the installation instructions: http://www.cityfloorsupply.com/Customer/ciflsu/specpages/Bostik_GreenForce.pdf. I didn't buy it or supply it, but that is what they had. Could I be lucky here?? All distributors and retailers listed within the website are known to stock Bostik products, but we cannot guarantee stock availability of all items at any point in time. I believe it could be the original flooring because it appears that some seemed stained and varnished. It may be messy and more expensive but have never had an issue with it. Acrylic adhesives are fine for engineered wood.
